1.Posts are to be made in the relevant forums. Users are asked to readthe forum descriptions before posting. Users consistently posting tothe wrong forum may be given a warning
2. Members should use anappropriate, descriptive title when posting a new topic. Examples ofbad titles include; "OMG!", "Can you believe this?", etc. Example of agood title. "VFK is closed 5/29/08"
3. Members are asked to not act as “back seat moderators”.If members note an issue which is against something in forum policythey are welcome to bring it to the attention of a member of the staffTeam. Please use the “PM” feature to report posts. Do not respond tosuch topics yourself. Members who constantly “act” as moderators may bewarned.
4. Members should remember this board is aimed at ageneral audience (we have very young children here). Postingpornographic or offensive links, FaceBook, My.Space or any kind of sitelike those, VFK related forums, blogs sites, or any other forum etc.will not be tolerated and will lead to an immediate ban. NOTE: G Rated links are allowed. Such as any Disney games, Nickolodeon or other G rated game sites.
5.Members are asked to respect the copyright of other users. Thisincludes the rank buttons and award buttons on VFKFF. These buttonswere personally made. Hacking or scripting is not allowed.
6. Members should post in a way which is consistent with "normal writing". 'That is' users should not post excessive numbersof emoticons, large, small or colored text, boldface type, etc.Similarly users should not SHOUT or use excessive punctuation in topictitles or posts. Users consistently abusing this will be warned.
7.Impersonating others is not allowed. This not only includes VFKFFstaff, but it also includes pretending to be another forum member. Thiswill not be tolerated and will lead to an immediate ban.
8.Cloning accounts is not allowed. Anyone found creating multipleaccounts on VFKFF will be banned. If you forget your password, click onthe "I forgot my password" link in the login area. The forums willautomatically send a temporary password.
9. Members should postin a way that is respectful of other users. Flaming, trolling, orabusing other users in any way will not be tolerated and will lead to awarning.
10. Spam is not tolerated here under anycircumstances. Users posting spam will be warned and their post removed(warnings will be placed within the members post). Users may notpromote their sites, forums, blogs etc., through their own posts,signatures, site links etc.. Such posting constitutes spam and willlead to a warning.
What is Spam You Ask?
Itis the flooding of the forum, chat or PM, with many copies of the samemessage or message content, in an attempt to force the message onpeople who would not otherwise choose to receive it. Other examples ofspam are: posting in a topic to disrupt the subject of the thread;advertising your personal forum, blog, web site etc.; sending PM's toother members with your advertising; posting needlessly to boost yourpost count or bumping threads (see 24 hr bumping rule #14 ). The use ofquick replys such as -- "OMG, Yes, etc." to boost post count is alsoconsidered spam.
11. The staff team reserves the right to edit orremove any post at any time. The determination of what is construed asindecent, vulgar, spam, etc. as noted in these points, is up to StaffMembers and not users. Public posts debating these rules and/ormoderators' enforcement of such, will be removed without comment. Weencourage feedback however and invite you to PM a staff member if youhave any questions or concerns.
12. The above forum rules,where applicable, also apply to private messaging. Abuse of the privatemessaging system may lead to warnings (as above) and/or the revocationof private messaging.
Signatures
13.Signatures may contain one image, no more than 250 pixels high, 450pixels wide. Signatures are subject to the same conditions as postswith respect to spam, decency, emoticons, and so forth.
24 Hour Rule
14. 24 hour bumping rule of a topic is a follows:you must wait 24 hours to bump the topic and/or post again in thattopic. You may only bump your own topics ONCE every 24 hours, you maynot have your friends bump your topic via spam (see rule #10).
Chat Room
15. Members using VFKFF Chat are subject to the same rules listed above. Exception: you can use colored text, boldface type, and some emoticons.
Advisory: It is Not safe to discuss age or any personal information on internet/chat, PM or forums.
Religion and Politics
16.Members may not discuss religion or politics in the forums; these twotopics are highly controversial and can easily lead to fights.
These rules may be amended at any time, it is your responsibility to ensure you stay up to date with the rules.
Failureto follow these rules may result in a warning being applied to youraccount however this is at the discretion of the staff member. Anydisputes against any warning needs to be taken up with either Mousetymeor disfaniam. Three warnings will result in the termination orsuspension of your account and ip addresses. Depending on the severityof the offense a direct termination or suspension may result.
